Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (ZUST) is a multi-disciplinary university under the direct guidance of Zhejiang Provincial Government, which focuses on engineering with additional disciplines in arts, management, science, and economics.
ZUST has two campuses: Xiaoheshan Campus and Anji Campus. Xiaoheshan Campus is located in the historical and cultural city—Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province. As one of the most beautiful cities in China, Hangzhou boasts various charming scenic spots, rich history and culture, as well as a strong economy. Xiaoheshan Campus is 20 minutes away from the world's largest and most valuable retailer Alibaba headquarter. Anji campus is situated in Anji county, which won the United Nation Habitat Scroll of Honor Award.
ZUST has 14 schools and offers 56 undergraduate programs and 34 postgraduate programs. There are more than 21,000 full-time regular students and over 2,100 foreign students. At present, ZUST is running 11 English-taught undergraduate programs and 8 English-taught postgraduate programs. In addition, ZUST provides a master’s degree program of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL). ZUST is one of the top universities in Zhejiang Province from the perspective of English-taught programs numbers. The University is one of the 27 universities that is officially approved by the Ministry of Education to deliver international student education.

ZUST—as part of the Chinese-German collaboration—has been approved by the Ministry of Education as a pioneering university in running a programme that focuses on developing practical skills required in engineering careers.
In 2014, the University formed a partnership with Lübeck University of Applied Sciences and West Coast University of Applied Sciences, Germany to form the “Chinese-German Institute of Applied Engineering”. This is the first and the only university that offers international cooperative undergraduate education in Zhejiang Province.
ZUST has successfully established cooperative relationships with 133 universities across Europe, USA, UK, South Africa, and Asia. ZUST is consistently developing international collaborations in the areas of faculty and student exchange, research and degree programs.
